Classic Larson Family Fun Boat in Hastings, MN

Classic Larson Family Fun Boat

We bought the boat from my wife's uncle. He had it stored in his spare garage for 20 years he told me. We have stored it inside every winter since we bought it 4 years ago and under a boat cover during the summer. I had to replace the starter, have the carburetor rebuilt and replaced the tires on the trailer because the orignal ones were cracked, When I changed the oil in prepration of getting it running, I used Amsoil Marine Oil and for each oil change since. I did not want to skimp on oil on this classic. I replace the oil in the Stern Drive with Amsoil as well at part of winterizing it. I wanted to ensure the power system would last many years into the future is why I chose to use Amsoil products. It does run great. The boat has the 120 Mercruiser which is a Chevy 151 c.i. 4 cyl.The trailer is set up with hydraulic brakes. I have not worked on these. There are several life jackets that come with the boat,I can't tell you how many hours total are on the engine. When I went to see this boat at my wife's uncles house he had in his garage a 1976 Buick with about 60,000 miles on it. Wow. It looked like new. My wife said her uncle has always been meticulous about taking care of his car and boat. Yes, that one picture is the original manual for the stern drive and the other is from the 1970 Larson boat catalog. See what I mean about her uncle. The hours I am listing represent the hours on the engine since I got it.Last summer I bought the blue boat cover that you see in the picture. I bought the high end model that was guaranteed for 10 years which cost about $200. In June 2015, I had the prop refurbished so its like new now at a cost of $80.Call me or text me on [removed phone] to set up an appointment to see it.
